The movie is based on the Sunday Times Bestseller by Maggie O’Farrell. The album is released digitally, on CD and on vinyl. The CD artwork features exclusive photos shot by screenwriter and director Zhao on the set of Hamnet.

The soundtrack has also been nominated for over 100 awards, including being shortlisted for an Academy Award. Richter was also honored with an UK CBE.
